What’s more Minnesotan than a Minnesota State Fair Wedding?! Randi and Eric love the Minnesota State Fair so much that they both dreamed of a portrait session there the day of their wedding. Randi’s one special request was to get a picture of them going down the giant slide! We were so excited about this wedding and knew it was going to be one for the books. The entire wedding party began the day at the State Fair, in full formal wedding attire. While we walked the fair grounds the happy couple was continually met with cheers and congratulations. Randi and Eric were even interviewed on the radio! We stopped by all of Randi and Eric’s favorite fair stops and photographed them enjoying the day together. One of these special spots was the foot long hotdog stand, where the couple enjoyed a very appropriate Minnesota State Fair breakfast, with everything on top. Luckily neither the bride nor the groom spilled ketchup or mustard on their wedding dress or tuxedo. The wedding took place that evening at the historic St. Paul College Club where the ceremony was held outside in the mansion’s backyard. The couple’s dog, Ginger, served as the noble ring bearer and was very well behaved during the whole ceremony. He was fun to take pictures of, as most weddings we photograph are not so lucky as to include the couple’s lovable pets. The reception was held inside the distinguished St. Paul College Club. Randi and Eric are not dancers so instead their reception was filled with board games and socializing following dinner and dessert. From the Minnesota State Fair to the St. Paul College Club, it was quite the fun-filled day!
